Jewel
|

|
F / 52
|
Jewel is a beautiful youngish girl with green hair
and green eyes. She is the simple daughter of Llewella and a
man by the name of Swayle who is now believed to be
dead. Jewel's mind seems to be segmented in a strange
way and she often finds simple concepts hard to fathom.
She was given into Dworkin's care after Llewella confessed
to having a daughter after Patternfall as he seemed
to understand her best. She escaped from his care six
months ago and is believed to have walked the pattern.
It is not known what has become of her since.

Valmonde
|

|
M / ?
|
Valmonde is a strong swordsman with a dark complexion
and black hair with dark brown eyes. That Valmonde is
an Amberite is certain as he has successfully walked
the pattern since arriving in Amber. He has remained
silent about his parentage and none of the elder Amberites
has admitted that he is their son. Valmonde has not
made many friends around Amber as he has a gruff attitude
that has upset even the affable Flora. Many believe
that King Random appointed him as Ambassidor of Synys
to get him out of Castle Amber.

Hagen Fontaine
|

|
M / 53
|
Leader of the rebels on Karvesh seeking to gain independence
for their Shadow from Eregnor and Begma. He has been
imprisoned in jail in Karvesh for the past ten years
and is not believed to have any power except that of
clear thinking. He rarely gives audience to outsiders
and may be a little out of touch with what is currently
happening on Karvesh.
|
|
Prime Minister Caruso
|

|
M / 51
|
Prime Minister Caruso is a negotiator who got to
power in Eregnor by forming a coalition of interests
in the Shadow. That coalition is coming under threat
as a logging corporation who own a large operation in
Karvesh are nervous about the revolution there. Caruso
has been forced into a more aggressive stance and he
is struggling to keep all the members of the coalition
happy. He is looking weak as a leader as he tries to
negotiate a settlement to the problem rather than take
the direct action that many others in the country seem
to think is neccessary.

|
Prince Clayvar of Eregnor
|

|
M / 33
|
Prince Clayvar is the bastard son of King Gustav
who is now in a coma and is nearing death. The King
has not made it clear whom he wants to suceed him, and
Prince Clayvar (as Gustav's eldest son claims the right
to the throne even though he is a bastard. His claim
is not well supported amongst the nobility, but has
popular support amongst the peasantry. He is a man of
the people who has toured the Shadow extensively try
to gain support and his demand for action to get Karvesh
back appeals to national pride.

|
Princess Xala of Eregnor
|

|
F / 30
|
Princess Xala is the oldest legitimate child of King
Gustav. There has been no precedent in the royal line
for women to rule if there is a younger male heir, however
the precent is well established amongst the nobility.
As such the nobility have largely dismissed Xala, but
King Gustav's senior advisors all indicate that they
would prefer her as Queen in Begma. Xala is the least
keen of the candidates to go to war, but has made several
statements recently indicating that she feels Begma
should reclaim its sovereign territory. Xala spends
much of her time at the old King's deathbed at present.

|
Prince Daffyd of Eregnor
|

|
M / 27
|
Prince Daffyd is the eldest legitimate son of King
Gustav and he is popular amongst the nobility. He is
charming and has loves hunting and the other noble pursuits.
He has responded to Prince Clayvar's call for war with
a call of his own and he has started a campaign of persuasion
on the council of electers. Prince Daffyd is somewhat
vain and has a number of hangers on in his entourage
lining up for position once their favourite becomes
King.
