Sorcery (15 Points)
Sorcery is much more powerful than Power Words, but
it takes longer to cast a Sorcery spell. It can take
anything from minutes to several days to cast a Sorcery
spell. The way around this is to prepare spells in advance
and this requires studying and maintenance in detail.
A well prepared Sorcerer can have up to a dozen spells
prepared, but they will require about 20 hours maintenance
a week.
A sorcerer can only have one spell in memory at a
time, thus if you take a nap, get hit on the head or
work on other magic the memorized spell will be lost.
Thus the only way of storing memorized spells is to
put them in some kind of container. This is known as
hanging spells and it can only be done in a special
receptacle. It must be either a living thing capable
of remembering the spell or a magical item containing
power that can be forced in to the form and structure of
the spell.
Also prepared spells can be very specific and specific
to a Shadow. The only way around this is to prepare
spells that arent quite complete leaving out key instructions.
These instructions are then filled in when it is cast
and are called lynchpins.
